sadescription Minuscule faune
30mn   color   stéréo   2015   France
by Mitsuaki Saito
Since 11 March 2011, all living beings is united by fate, a fate such unspeakable order that exile is impossible. The people of Fukushima-Daichi with their identity and history had to leave room for the roots of the disaster. Social issues, natural reality, the original space in the nuclear disaster lose their meaning, become more total abstractions. In the disaster, man and animal species become infinitesimal. Achieving filmic and musical composition « Tiny Wildlife » plays on the multiplicity of reporting entails this upheaval between the micro and macro, between an organic and figurative frame emergences. The drift of the banks, the views under the sea, the sky, or flush with the ground, « Tiny Wildlife » is pictorial and musical expression of this parachuted glance inhospitable land that bears the traces of exile and its alive look that resists in a fragile body-to-body with life remains.

sadescription 3 premières fractions
18mn   b/w   mono   2014   France
by Guillaume Mazloum
These fractions are the first three in a series that will count 7. Images, gleaned over the years and exposed instinctively gradually met texts that accompanied me during these years. Each fraction is related to a text whose title is an excerpt. These fractions are independent thoughts. Together they form a whole, both self-portrait and testimony. They are composite elements which, taken together, reveal the nature of this journey.

In Jerada, in Morocco, there are coal mines, which are not just that. And there are miners who learn by doing. There is a language that bites, that twists itself. There is a pine forest, next to a football field. And shards of life exist, between darkened pits, and intense light.

sadescription Vers La Flamme
5mn30   color   stéréo   2014   USA
by Paul Turano
Lighting up the morning sky a meteor detonated mid air over Chebarkul, Siberia on February 15, 2013. Existential shockwaves emanating from the explosion caused a momentary chaos, and catalyzed more desperate fears that it was perhaps signaling The End. The music in the work is by Russian composer Scriabin who composed Vers la Flamme — Towards the Flame a few years after the Tunguska event – a devastating explosion from a runaway comet or asteroid, whose impact was equivalent to 10–15 megatons of TNT – had occurred in Siberia in 1908. Hypothetical, but compelling connections between these events inform this work.

22mn35   color & b/w   stéréo   2015   Russia
by Aram Karsi
In 2012 I started collecting 1960-70-s amateur chronicle filmed in 8mm to create audio- visual work with modern russian composer Sasha Belau. Some of the questions that interested me when i working on the film: audiovisual and forme, properties and manipulation of materials, control of light dramaturgy, creating of process (or time) which creates space and story; temporality, memory.
